Summer vacation: My to-do list for Korea
As we’ve now reached the end of Academic Year 2022-2023, I believe that many of us are thinking about a trip outside of the country. Of course, as a South Korean, I ventured to my home country for my vacation.
There are a massive amount of things to try when I fly to Korea as my last year’s trip to Korea was for academics. Even though I am still going to Korea for academic purposes, compared to last year, I have more free time I can use for myself. Therefore, it is important for me to make plans so that I can utilize my time wisely. Maybe you can get some ideas from a pure Korean on what to do for your vacation. Without further ado, here are the things that I would like to do whenever I go to Korea!
There are diverse dishes you can enjoy in Korea. It would be a go to try out traditional Korean dishes, but Korea also has high quality foreign foods. What I will do first when I arrive in Korea is to run towards a rotating sushi restaurant. There are a lot of affordable and big-sized sushi you can get in a rotating sushi restaurant. The menu I love most in those restaurants is the flounder sushi with kimchi. It may sound weird, but the chewy texture of flounder sashimi is perfectly covered with the fresh crunchy kimchi. The food is not too greasy and not too spicy, which makes it a perfect match with each other.
Walking in the streets with music is something that I would like to do as well. Since Korea does not re-
