Heart to Heart Saturdays Creates Space for Meaningful Connection
Since launching last month, Heart to Heart Saturdays have become a recurring gathering hosted by the HKL Califor- nia Chapter. These gatherings provide a welcoming space for reflection, meditation, and au- thentic conversations, inviting people to connect while culti- vating humility, kindness, and love in their daily lives.
Held in local parks, the commu- nity center, and neighborhood coffee shops throughout Fresno, the gatherings demonstrate that heartfelt connection can happen anywhere. Each location of- fers its own unique atmosphere while remaining centered on the same purpose: creating space to slow down, be present, and re- flect inwardly.
The most recent Heart to Heart Saturday brought together 27 participants in person and six online for a morning of reflec- tion, community connection, and guided meditation. The FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, USA
Participants then reflected on an inspiring passage from Love Is a Fire by Llewellyn Vaughan- Lee:
"Just as a sunflower follows the sun, so does each par- ticle of creation, inwardly, turn towards the Creator. Everything that is created praises God. This is the song of the universe, the harmony that underlies everything."
After the quote was read aloud twice, the group spent a quiet moment in contemplation be- fore sharing personal reflections on its meaning. The discussion encouraged participants to explore how greater awareness, gratitude, and compassion can transform everyday experiences.
The gathering continued with a guided meditation based on HKL's Weekly Practice, fol- lowed by a discussion connect- ing the meditation to the weekly commitments. Participants also reflected on the value of stay- ing connected with the global HKL movement throughout the week.
in inspired by the "Huddle" process, giving participants the opportunity to introduce them- selves and share how they were feeling in the present moment. This intentional practice created an atmosphere of openness and gathering began with a checktrust.
