WHY A CATALOGUE IN 2026
Because a page with an order makes you choose, and a feed never does.
B Y A search box returns everything and recommends nothing. That is its job, and it is why every search for a compressor ends the same way: forty tabs, three reviews that disagree, and the one you already owned. A catalogue is the opposite instrument. It is finite. Someone chose what is in it and, more to the point, what is not.
The page also has an order, and the order is an opinion. Put a thing first and you have said something you can be wrong about. Put ninety-nine things in a line and you have said ninety-nine things. We would rather be wrong on the page than vague in a feed.
It is also slower, on purpose. A catalogue arrives four times a year and asks you to sit with it. Most of what markets software is built to be scrolled past; this is built to be read with a coffee and a pencil, which is how the good decisions in this room have always been made.
None of this is nostalgia. Every page in this book is live; tap it and the reader opens the product with the price as it is today. The page is not the point. The choosing is. We will be back in the new year with a new order, and if you think we have it wrong, write and tell us where.
