The snowdrop's bud - a crystal tear, Proclaims the start of each new year. Reminding us, lest we forget, Cold winter weather's not over yet...
Though Springtime days grow ever near.
Next, crocus carpets mauve and white, Each flower head absorbing light. Radiant jewels everyone, Open in the warm day's sun.
What a truly gladsome sight!
Star-like beauty, yellow blazing... In awestruck wonder leaves us gazing. Their trumpets sound in jubilation At God's miraculous creation;
Each daffodil all beauty praising.

'Look at us!' they seem to shout, In fire-flame colours bright and bold.
Shrinking violets in the shade, Royal purple in the glade.
Don't be shy, find a voice-
Join the flowers as they rejoice, For you, too, from God were made.
