HOPEFUL FOGGINESS by Ruth Yhsabel A. Sanchez
As time inches closer, My worry festers within; As if I’m standing on the ledge of a cliff, With no direction, I wander adrift
What face will I ever show To friends, foes, and family? I myself know that when I cannot provide, I am nothing but a hollow shell that has to hide
Yet through this all, I shall stand tall For I am the victor of my own game, With only I as the adversary And only I to blame
Though for me it remains a question mark, My future is left foggy and stark; But I am young and passionate, And am willing to change for my own benefit
I know I will not lose – I shall not lose! Yielding to my fears I must refuse For soon, a light will shine upon me And align me with my destined victory
