St Mary the the Blessed Virgin Parish Magazine October 2026
standards which are taken for granted in this era would not have been reached. Our advert for a new Vicar will close now in October and eventually when someone is appointed changes will come in the future, so that St Mary’s may grow and thrive. St Mary’s is facing a time of change, and such change brings about insecurity amongst the faithful. It is sometimes hard to see where that change is leading us and the uncertainty can make us lose hope. But the hope of the Church is and always has been hope in a God who is not constrained by time, who is both unchangeable and constantly changing. If we are able to place our insecurities about where we are going on our individual and corporate journeys onto God, then we will be released to appreciate that God is leading us forward and that God will strengthen us to face whatever challenges we must face in the future of this changing world and changing Church. Look forward to the future because God is there just as he is there in the past and the present.
A Line from Luna… Hello everyone, I don’t like change…I do like my routines; However, I do also like seeing different things and places and meeting new people…even if at first I am a bit nervous about the whole experience. It is always worth it in the end. Much love, Luna xx
