Wearily onward she wends her tired way, Nearing the end of her long working day. Turning around she is able to see, Her colourful patchwork tapestry.
As daytime departs with the setting sun, She is satisfied with her job well done. Now laying to rest in her marble tomb, As all life retreats deep into earth’s womb.
Her lungs are now weak from bonfire smoke, She coughs and she wheezes; begins to choke. Finally, breathing her very last breath. Her life now over; encountering death.
Now Autumn is here there’s no time to sigh For Winter approaches and all life must die. written by Peter Bourne
