It’s inevitable and it’s ironically the one constant in all our lives. As a bookend to this year, we’ve chosen the highlights of our works that embody change, transition, and transformation. Opening rrrrreeeeemmmmmaaaaa kkkkk rrrrr sssss
We never know when or how it will arrive, but change is always present in this world, in one form or another. A once-grand monument may eventually be neglected and overgrown with greenery, and a mere outline may very well turn into a magnum opus. Time is always present in all this; perpetuity is vanity.
Faces are always bound to come and go. Yet, somehow, the people never change.
People who are willing to continue the legacy of another. People who will strive to make the best of the change.
The Mover will soon reach its third year as an entirely student-led publication, and as the current batch of heads is bidding adieu through graduation, another will rise to continue what they started. The former laid the foundations for a creative student freedom board that uplifted the publication into prominence. The latter intends to even further expand its reach, to unleash the individual potential of its creatives, and to transform it into the central hub for all Monarch stories. All this, while still remembering what their seniors have done for them.
We are the latter. We are the next generation. On behalf of them, we are honored to be this publication’s next set of leaders for its tertiary publishing cycle. We yearn to be more than just a “writers’ club.” We strive for an emphasis on individualism and an exploration of talents. We hope to capture the attention of all Monarchs as their publication.
The next academic year will see the gradual return of face-to-face classes. The new setup won’t just mean we will have an influx of articles, it will provide an avenue for the students to express a wider array of thoughts in a setting that’s now so foreign. It will be another momentous leap to finally go beyond our confines and act on the real-life stage. But we will not stumble — we will embrace this change. Even if our seniors relaunched this publication to cater to the virtual setup, we will still provide you with the freedom wall and idea soundboard that built us up this year, but now in a physical setting.
We are The Mover. We are your Platform, Pen, and Paper. No amount of change — no amount of new additions nor unexplored horizons — will ever delineate us from our ultimate goal: to shed light on the stories that matter. With a hopeful heart, we look forward to taking up the mantle as its new set of faces.

That is simply the transience of life.
