Seeing the message of Humility, Kindness and Love shared at such well-known Brit ish landmarks was a powerful reflection of the movement’s growing reach. We are deeply grateful to those at both landmarks for their sup port and for the kindness and warmth they showed our vol unteers. Their gestures reflect ed the very values that HKL seeks to inspire in communities around the world.

A Nation Woven by Heartstrings

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA that unite people across prov inces, communities, and back grounds.

What does it mean to stand for unity? Sometimes, it means stepping beyond our everyday routines, taking to the streets, and reminding one another of what we share.

As Alberta approaches a histor ic referendum on its future with in Canada, conversations about separation and belonging have taken centre stage across the province. With Albertans pre paring to consider whether Al berta should remain part of Can ada or begin the process toward a future separation referendum, the HKL Calgary Chapter took to the streets with a message rooted in unity, connection, and shared humanity.

Holding signs that read “UNIT-

ED CANADA IS THE JEWEL OF THE WORLD,” HKL vol unteers gathered at busy inter sections to share their message with fellow Albertans. Drivers responded with waves, smiles, and enthusiastic honks of sup port. Each interaction became a small moment of connection, demonstrating how a simple message can bring people to gether.

The team also attended the Canada Strong rally, where Albertans gathered in support of remaining part of Canada, with Prime Minister Mark Carney in attendance. Amid the conversa tions about Alberta’s future, the gathering offered an opportuni ty to reflect on the connections

Humility encourages us to listen to perspectives different from our own. Kindness reminds us to approach difficult conversa tions with respect. Love calls us to recognize our shared human ity, even when opinions differ.

The HKL volunteers carried their message with the hope of inspiring people to look beyond division and remember the val ue of connection. Because unity does not mean we must agree on everything. It means we can continue to listen, respect one another, and recognize what we share.

HKL Reflection: “United Can ada Is the Jewel of the World.” When we lead with Humility, Kindness, and Love, our dif ferences need not divide us. Together, we can build a future rooted in connection, compas sion, and shared humanity.

THE DAY I WALKED AWAY TO FIND MYSELF Are we meant to work 8-to-5 jobs, go to school from a young age, graduate, earn a good de gree, get a job, get married, have children, then grandchil dren, and finally wait for the end of our lives?

Is this our purpose?

Doesn’t it seem so exhausting to be caught in this endless loop?

I feel that this human life is so precious. This body, this Divine Temple, is a true gift from the Divine.

Our human body is a vessel through which we can recog nize who we truly are and who we really are beneath the cloak of a human body.

Underneath this cloak, we are the Divine. Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, I feel there is a greater life we are meant to live, a life dedicated to recognizing why we are here and why we have been blessed with a Di vine Temple (the human body).

This Divine Temple can take us inward, allowing us to uncover the universe that resides within.

I did it all. I went to school, pur sued further education, earned a master’s degree, and secured a well-paying 8-to-5 job that pro vided for me. And yet, there was no fulfillment, no satisfaction.
