A Season For Connections
Throughout the summer, HKL UK volunteers have been attending a variety of events across the country, sharing the message of Humility, Kindness, and Love and introducing people of all ages to the HKL meditation.
The summer season began at the Somerset Healing Festival, where volunteers were met with an incredibly positive response from stallholders and festival attendees. Over the three-day event, engagement continued to grow each day. Participants signed up on the first day, re turned on the second to share that they had received their email and accessed the meditation, and by the third day, many were already sharing how the practice had begun to create positive changes in their lives.
The festival organisers were particularly enthusiastic about the need for HKL in today’s world and were so impressed by the volunteers’ presence that they have already reserved a space for HKL next year. Plans are also underway for special workshops centred on the HKL bus. The festival concluded with a Dragon Walk, with the HKL bus and children taking part together. This created a wonderful sense of community, attracted significant attention to HKL, and brought even more positivity to the final day.
From Somerset, the team continued to the Birmingham Fusion Festival, a vibrant multicultural celebration showcasing local talent, businesses, and community organisations. The HKL bus was a huge success, with children enjoying activities on board while parents and adults signed up to HKL and discovered more about meditation.
A new HKL Jenga activity was also introduced at the festival, using questions and real-life scenarios to encourage participants to think about how they could bring Humility, Kindness, and Love into their everyday lives. The interactive activity was enjoyed by people of all ages and created an easy and engaging way to start conversations about HKL.
The event also saw the UK’s second HKL Walk, which was a huge success, with everyone who attended joining in. A musical artist who was present at the festival even performed an impromptu song about HKL live in front of the bus, creating a memorable and uplifting moment for everyone there. The day highlighted how HKL can connect with people from all backgrounds and generations, showing that it truly can be introduced and embraced at any age.
