35 PROMOTION OF ART & CULTURE
Founded by Suresh Neotla in 1997 and guided by the vision of renowned art custodian Bimla Poddar, Jnana Pravaha a centre for cultural studies in Varanasi aims at fostering in-depth study, appreciation and preservation of Indian art, culture, archaeology and metaphysics. The institution continues to thrive as a centre for artistic and intellectual exchange, hosting exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and cultural events that attract renowned artists, scholars, and enthusiasts.
Preserving Vedic Heritage: One of the notable endeavours of Jnana Pravaha is the establishment of the Yajnasala, a sacred space dedicated to Vedic Yojnas. Recognizing the declining practice of Vedic Yajnas in North India, Inana Pravaha set up the Yagnasala in 2000 to preserve and uphold this ancient tradition
Reviving Traditional Crafts: Jnana Pravaha also took the initiative to revive traditional crafts and art forms that were at risk of fading away. The establishment of the Shilpasala or Atelier in 2008 was a crucial step towards this gual. The Atelier has successfully revived clay and folk art as well, ensuring the preservation of these valuable traditions.
A Serene Retreat: Jnana Pravaha offers a serene and welcoming environment for its guests. Scholars, researchers, academicians. and visitors from all walks of life find solace and inspiration in the tranquil ambiance of Jnana Pravaha
