Have you ever felt misunderstood? Like people only see fragments of who you are, never the full picture?

This sentiment has become especially common in the age of social media. We’re constantly feeding pieces of ourselves into a machine we call "the algorithm." A clip here. A photo there. Then another 30 second video that is somehow supposed to represent the entirety of who we are.

This is exactly why I created this magazine.

You may know me from TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, my journey on American Idol in 2021, or more recently, my adventure on Singer 2025 in China. But this space is different. Here, there are no algorithms deciding what you see or what gets buried beneath the endless stream of content. This is a direct line between us. (wah freaking who)

Think of this as your backstage pass to everything happening in my world- from the Vicks stick permanently living in my nose, to new music, upcoming shows, behind-the-scenes stories, and all the little moments in between. You'll hear it here first.

Most importantly, I want this to be a conversation. If there's something you're curious about, a topic you'd love my perspective on, or a question you've always wanted to ask, send it my way!

KINSTLER is a 26 year old award winning Singer/Songwriter from Chicago, IL , and she is currently based in Austin, TX. After placing 2nd Runner Up on season 19 of American Idol, Grace began her journey as a professional artist. She’s been hired to perform all across the country at various festivals and events including The Rose Parade, on tour with David Foster, Miss America New York, headlined St Jude’s Dream and starred in “Love Actually” at the Wallis Theatre in LA. In 2025, she was recruited to participate in China’s most popular singing competition show, THE SINGER.

There she was a finalist and competed alongside Chinese Superstar artists and other global heavyweights like Charlie Puth, Michael Buble, and Mickey Guyton. Outside of live performance, Grace has voice acted and sung the theme song for Disney Jr’s “Hey A.J.!”. She has released 2 EP’s and singles on all streaming platforms and will be releasing more original music in 2026.

The Making of 'My Name's on You'

My Name’s On You is a celebration of self acceptance and owning who you are. Everyone deals with their own trials and tribulations, but what distinguishes us from one another is how we come out on the other side. It has now been over six years since losing my dad, and only within the last few months have I genuinely felt like I’ve found myself again. My excitement and passion for life has come back, but it’s taken me a while to get here. I enjoy running now- which is insane, but I will happily take it! Of course, I still have rough days, but the life I get to live is beautiful. I relate to this song even more now than when I wrote it in 2024. In life, we all have a choice: let life get the best of us, or get the best out of life. I made my choice, and now I’m living it.

FUN FACTS:

1 . My Name’s On You is a sister song to Put It On Me- a song that I haven’t released yet. While My Name’s On You parades strength and resilience, Put It On Me highlights the pain that comes before it. Struggle is the catalyst for growth, and you can’t have one without the other.

We originally tried the verses of My Name’s On You with the concept of Put It On Me, with more emotional verses leading to the empowering My Name’s On You chorus, but I left the session feeling that that arrangement sold both ideas short. A few weeks later, after sitting with the song for a bit, the verse-melodies came to me, and I knew exactly where I wanted to take it.

GRACE KINSTLER IN CHINA

I spent three months across the globe in Changsha, China, performing every Friday for an estimated 300 million viewers worldwide. While on the show, my dear friend Mickey Guyton and I competed alongside some of China’s biggest and most established stars. This wasn’t like American Idol or The Voice- it was a competition for seasoned professionals, many of whom already had massive fanbases. Heck, Jessie J competed (and won!) in 2018. Charlie Puth and Michael Bublé were in my season as well. Crazy, I know. I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Most of us have watched a reality competition show at some point, but very few people know what actually happens behind the scenes. So stay tuned for a weekly play-by-play of my entire summer in China-the good, the bad, and the beauty of it all.

JULY 31, 2026 - BOSTON PUBLIC GARDEN

From a surprise trip to Boston for my birthday, the proposal/engagement, and then flying me home to celebrate with my family- Joseph did not miss a beat! We got engaged on July 31st, 2026 in the Boston Public Garden.

I was under the impression we were going to feed the squirrels, as we did when we went to college there, though I did have my suspicions that he had something else up his sleeve!

To the wonderful man who gave “Water” its wings, I am so excited to spend forever with you! Thank you for the endless love, laughter, and for holding me through all of life’s ebbs and flows.
